11TH LENT PILGRIMAGE

Summoned by the Evangelical Seminary of Theology, around 200 people from different churches of the town, on April 5th, joined to walk together in the traditional “Lent Pilgrimage” which since 1998 is taking place in town, to remember Lord Passion. The pilgrimage made the customary program. It started at eight thirteen the morning stopping at some churches: the Roman-Catholic Cathedral “San Carlos Borromeo”, the Reformed-Presbyterian church, the Catholic Church “Our Lady of the Mount Carmelo, to reach the seminary at ten thirty. At each church was developped a twenty-minute simple program of prayers, songs, silence and reflection about the Stations of the Cross.

In the gardens of the SET, people reflectected and shared their experience in groups: brothers and sisters from different congregations. Reverend Daniel Montoya, a professor of the SET, closed this pilgrimage preaching at the Resurrection Chapel.

AND THE RESURRECTION...WAS LIGHT

A very light misty welcomed the people from the town, who were arriving to the Seminary to watch in the distance the town waking up with the lights reflecting on the waters of the Bay. At the skyline, the shine breaks the dark little by little, at the sight of the most beautiful view of the town.

Gentle voices or the songs of the birds are the nearest voices. The families and happy young people and elders too, they came from different churches and places to celebrate the day of the victory, of the resurrection of our Lord and brother Jesus Christ, le Light of the World.

Before 1946, in this same place, a day like this, people have awaited the sun rise to celebrate the Resurrection Service.

There were about over 900 people participating. The number is not as relevant as the wish to pray and sing together and to feel this transcendent moment of unity among people present.

The Word was preached by Vice-director Oden Marichal Rodriguez surrounded by the brightness of the rising of the sun and the colors of the creation, after that we hugged and wished each other the peace. That hug joined us in just one body, as a testimony of the unity and the certitude that Jesus Christ, our Savour, lives within each of us.

It consists of an exam theological-historical of how in the history of the church, in some aspects, in this discipline the interpretation has changed and how today it has been diversified giving birth to new researching schools. . The “Pentecostalism: Theology and History” course, it is more than exploration of the important historical points which contributes to the birth of the Pentecostal movement and a researching of the more important theological aspects. This course search to state that the Pentecostal movement, in itself, refers to different geographical irruptions, in different parts of the world,

About the course “Communication Abilities”, she said “the communication in important for the relations, the advising is necessary to help people to know their experiences and the facts, the meanings hidden in the life. When we know all these knowledge, then we have empathy with the others. The empathy has two parts, first, the understanding and the communication of the understanding, and in second placed, how to communicate4 this understanding. In this practical course, every day, we learned new abilities.

For instance: we worked seven ways of expressions non-verbal and developed a conscience about this. In general, people have the tendency to listen to and the interlocutor has to feel.
